A Timeless Family Home in Harpenden

Residential Interior Design | Harpenden, Hertfordshire

Bringing personality, warmth and purpose to a newly renovated family home.

The Brief

Following a complete renovation of their Harpenden home, the clients felt that something was still missing. Although the foundations were in place, the predominantly white interiors lacked personality, several rooms felt disconnected and some spaces weren't being used to their full potential.

The family wanted a home that felt more cohesive, welcoming and reflective of their personalities. They were looking for someone to bring together the finishing layers, improve the functionality of each room and create a natural flow throughout the property.

The Design Approach

Our approach began by understanding how the family used their home and identifying opportunities to make each space work harder for them.

Rather than making changes simply for aesthetic reasons, we focused on bringing purpose to underused areas, introducing carefully considered layouts and creating a sense of connection between rooms.

A combination of colour, texture, bespoke joinery and layered lighting helped introduce warmth and character, while ensuring each space retained its own identity.

The aim was to create a home that felt considered as a whole, rather than a collection of individually designed rooms.

The Transformation So Far

As the project progresses, previously overlooked spaces are finding new purpose, and the home is beginning to feel more connected, personal and inviting.
